Ireland v France, Paris 2009. We had enough money to enjoy the few days, until our taxi from Charles de Gaulle airport cost us €155. We had McDonald's once a day to keep the rest of our funds for match tickets. I was happy enough to watch the match in a pub at that stage but Kev convinced me to head out to the stadium. A lovely man outside the Stade de France was selling 2 tickets at face value because his son wasn't feeling well in their nearby home. He brought us right to the turnstile so we knew it wasn't a scam, and then we were in. A story that we'd tell for 11 years, and that I'll continue to tell, was born.
