It is with great pain that I learned of Victor’s passing. Victor and I (mainly Victor) studied economics in Saarbrücken and Münster. We even shared an apartment for a while until the landlord kicked us out due to the loud music that came from our rooms. Unforgettable are also our bachelor trips to the Canary Islands with some of Victor’s childhood friends. We then lost contact for almost 30 years - I was so happy to get a LinkedIn message from Victor last April and we picked our conversations up where we left a few decades earlier. His love for music and random knowledge (“Vicipedia”) are legendary. His love for his family and kids was what kept him going - despite the stormy weather he was facing
