I met Verle years ago when she joined the Council of Canadians, a social justice organization. Her concern for many social issues prompted her to volunteer at events sponsored by COC, White Rock Social Justice Film Festival and the NDP. Verle often spoke of her work at the care facility where she advocated and cared for vulnerable seniors.
I knew Verle as a strong, caring, loving and kind person who was liked by all who met her. I am fortunate to have known this remarkable woman. I will miss her.
