I am envious of the people who have known Terry for much longer than I did. In the few years I knew and worked with Terry, he demonstrated a level of dedication, honesty, professionalism and humility that most guys could only aspire to.
His qualities made a positive difference to everything he was involved with.
Terry's number was saved in my phone as 'Terry Towelling' and I took pleasure in talking to him everytime his name appeared on the screen - I was always happy to help Terry and nothing was too much trouble for Terry to help others.
I remember sharing a chuckle with Terry when he told me some of the 'unusual things' he'd found as he was processing defects on a residential scheme - still brings a smile to my face to this day.
Now he's looking after Health and Safety in Heaven - so they're in good hands and he'll no doubt be winning a few awards up there too.
Thoughts with Terry's family.
