A matriarch. A teacher, A mother. A friend. A trusted confidant to many...A community nurse. Sylvia was a people's person. She loved the Lord and was never ashamed to proclaim His word. She love to worship and easily broke out in song when she met family and friends. She valued relationships and always reminded us that 'wat nyaka med g'osiep' she put family first. She never minced her words and stood steadfast in the truth. She loved kids ..all kids....and raised more than 50 children personally. Her involvement as a Sunday school teacher gave her a chance to touch the lives of so many people. We have lost a gem. Our matriarch. If we could negotiate with the Lord, we'd ask for one more year..may be two or even ten more....the Lord's ways are not ours so we say adieu mama, till we meet again. Keep shining on us. We will surely miss your love n care..

The greatness of a person is measured by not how much wealth they amassed or any other thing, but by how many lives they touched. When we became of age and had girlfriends far and beyond, #23024 was our call centre. By then there were no cell phones. There were no boundaries in your house. We called you madhee and you called us by our names and you would add the relation; Denis wuod yuora. The Onunga's thanks a bunch for letting us share a piece of your mum without mumuring. It isn't goodbye but see you later!
