Chief Sylvester Akinola Okuribido. (Jan 27th 1935 - Aug 5th 2021) Chief Akinola Okurbido was the last of the 4 male children of Chief Theophilus Shonde and Chief Mrs. Janet Omonefun Okuribido of Ligegere Compound Ake Abeokuta. He was the Baariyun of Ake before his last title as the Edila oba oroye of Ake Abeokuta alongside his late wife. He was married to Late Chief Mrs Roseline Povi Okuribido till her demise and blessed with 6 children, 3 males and 3 females all living to celebrate his life. Chief Sylvester Okuribido was a former Diocesan President of Church Wardens Association of the Catholic Arch Dioscese of Ibadan, a former President of the St. Vincent de Paul in St. Joseph Catholic Church Oke-Ado Ibadan. A member of St. Jude’s Society and Catholic Christian Circle (CCC). He served in different capacities in the church before his demise. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in perfect peace, Amen. Rest in peace Okuribido Patriarch.
