I worked extensively with Stuart from the beginning of my career as he was supporting me with the controls side of a new type of turning gear. Later on he helped me with many of my projects which all seemed to have demanding customers, such as San Onofre, Ling Ao and Daya Bay which he was able to deal with in his ever-patient way. Even in recent times where you can look people's names up on the phone I can still remember his extension number (4586) due to the number of times I called it! He always had a smile on his face even when the going was difficult and that helped everyone's morale. I enjoyed the number of overseas visits I did with him as he was always great company, including our trip to Daya Bay in 2019 which was probably one of his last. He will be sorely missed by us all at GE, but of course more by his family to whom I send my heartfelt condolences.
