Steve Hutchison

December 21, 1950 - April 30, 2022

Although quiet and unassuming, Steve was incisively sharp and quick-witted, a voracious reader and board game enthusiast, multiple sports fanatic, as well as being a life-long Partick Thistle supporter and Bob Dylan aficionado. Most of all he was the most loving dad and husband, whose wisdom and gentle humour will be missed every day. As Steve's funeral is being held in Cyprus and it may not be possible for you to attend, Eileen, Ceirah & Kellen would truly appreciate you sharing any memories, stories, photos or messages in the condolence section below that you may have of Steve. If you would like to upload a picture/ memory then you will need to register. Please visit the condolence section if you do not wish to register.

Such a lovely, warm, kind man, who just did his own thing (and, I'm happy to say, was encouragingly grumpy enough to keep him interesting - did you really want to tangle with him?). A very real, whole, lovely person. Loved the twinkle in his eyes and how they crinkled up, and his indirect, dry and sometimes caustic humour. Always up for a good time (when he wasn't watching football anyway) but steady, gentle and kind. I'm repeating myself. I'm thinking fish lunches in Rafina, Greece, him driving home in a van and sending Eileen and me into the winery to wheedle bottles of wine out of the guys left in charge on a closed bank holiday. I'm thinking breakfast in the Athens Hilton, which was pushing the boat out back then, after an all nighter on the town, where we had endless cups of coffee and Steve was still cracking jokes and looking way fresher than the rest of us. I'm thinking amazing hospitality and chauffeuring and thoughtfulness in Cyprus. What a loss. So hard to take it in. So much love to Eileen, Ceirah and Kellen xxx
