Stan was of great support to me during my time as crew at Kessock Lifeboat Station. In his own words, his door was always open and he would help you and assist with whatever was needed. What he didn’t know about the lifeboat and the RNLI wasn’t really worth knowing, I always listened in awe at stories he had to tell, and he really was an inspiration. A true real life hero, who will be greatly missed.

There was not a single occasion where I came across Stan and didn’t laugh out loud. I am very fortunate to have crossed paths with you, however short. Fair winds and following seas, Stan.
