When my mother passed someone send me a few words that I always keep in mind, it’s in Dutch and I think it has more value then my translation:
Ik heb mijn moeder niet verloren
daarvoor gaf zij mij teveel.
Wat zij mij zei, dat blijf ik horen
van wat zij was, ben ik een deel.
Ik kom haar overal nog tegen
in wat ik doe, in wat ik laat,
zij was en blijft voor mij een zegen
waarvan het spoor steeds verder gaat.
