I had the privilege to be taught by Eldryd at LSHTM and then to teach with him on the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene over a number of years. Even in his later years his joy at teaching and sharing his wisdom with colleagues was wonderful. His work is a legacy that will carry on for decades to come.
