I worked with Simon at the IPCC from 2011 until 2014. He was always great company, very well respected by all, and had a wicked sense of humour. He was a great person to turn to when I first started at the IPCC as he had seen it all before. When we met at social events after he left the IPCC he talked about his passions in life, his family, his golf and gliding and of course his travels around the world. He will be sadly missed. My best wishes and sincere condolences to Debbie, Sarah and Peter.
