Simon and I were fellow proud dads watching our sons progress from mini rugby in the mid 1990's to Surrey Under 19 champions in 2007, at our local rugby club near Bookham. On the touchline and in the bar he was a calm but passionate supporter, and on our several weekends away during this period was at the fore doing best what rugby tourists do.
Over the last 10 years I've learnt a lot more about him and his life, and it has clearly been a life well and fully lived. He was driven by a desire to always do the right thing, and by his evident love for his family and close friends. He will be much missed in this community. Simon, rest in peace.
