I met Simon in 2004 when I joined the IPCC and then worked alongside him for 10 years. He was dedicated to the professionalism of the police service and believed in the work of the IPCC. He was a larger than life character who often had us in stitches with his stories of the royal household and especially Princess Margaret. We shared a love of cricket and many a day has been spent sharing a beer at the Oval and Lords. RIP Simon.
