Sheila Eden

June 7, 1950 - October 5, 2020

Sheila Eden, MBE, was an occupational therapist, manager, mentor, friend and colleague to hundreds of staff for over 30 years of working within the London borough of Tower Hamlets, NHS Children's Community Health Services. Sheila was also our professional cheerleader, building one of the largest and best known children's occupational therapy teams in London. Hugely committed to improving the lives of children and families with disabilities not just in our borough but through her work across the world including China, Africa and Australia. As someone recently and aptly said of Sheila "she was a legend".

Sheila was one is a million manager. She was empowering, approachable, supportive and a people's person. Her humour and charisma was infectious! Sheila saw the best in people and was very good at encouraging and supporting the person to overcome barriers and reach their potential. Words can not describe the void Sheila has left. I will miss you Sheila . Rest in Peace.
