Sarah Ford El-Mohandes

May 5, 1991 - April 12, 2021

In this space we remember Sarah. Sarah started her studies at the University of Surrey in 2018 to fulfil her desire of becoming a Paramedic. Sarah was a brilliant student, always ready to offer a contribution regardless of the topic; she was passionate about excellent care for all patients regardless of their circumstances. Sarah had recently taken on the role of Course rep and so becoming a voice for her cohort. She often met with the team to discuss how best to support students with the programme. To Sarah’s friends and colleagues, she will be remembered as a caring, compassionate and thoughtful person. Sarah embodied the virtues of a paramedic – compassionate, bright and with a wicked sense of humour.

Dearest Barbara, I can only imagine the devastating pain that your wonderful extended family is feeling as I write these few words of condolence. I have thought especially of you, my old friend, who have spoken to me so fondly of Sarah and lately of the happy state in which she had entered. My thoughts are also with Amer and Sarah's mother. To lose a child and a grandchild is surely the cruelest of all losses and the source of the greatest grief. Charles joins me in sending heartfelt sympathy to you all. All our love, Mirella
