I was devastated to learn of Sarah's illness then untimely passing. We had known each other from before the birth of ADCS, and as one of the two Joint Presidents in Year 0, I relied hugely on Sarah's good sense, professionalism and commitment as she and we built the new organisation. Sarah was at the heart of ADCS for so long it is difficult to imagine the Association without her. Over the last couple of years we were not able to meet up for obvious reasons, but before that, and after my retirement, we shared occasional dinners at which we put the world to rights - not just children's services, but politics and personal things as well. I shall miss her greatly.
