Ruud was an Aikido practitioner of the first hour in the Netherlands. Already at a young age, now 45 years ago, he became an Aikido instructor. This marked the first of many milestones in a life dedicated to Aikido. Shihan, sensei, mentor, friend, owner of Aikidocentrum van Ginkel, founder of Aikido Shoryukai Netherlands.
