"Do HIGHER, Do HIGHER!!!" my first son Miles, about two years old at the time, would squeal in absolute delight as Renuad lifted him higher and higher into the air, laughing and staring at him with his big brown eyes, so adoringly. Miles always called him 'Do Higher' after this and he always adored him. We all did. Funny, sweet, gentle, clever, kind, interesting Renuad. So many hills we walked up together. So many landscapes I watched light up his and Anna's faces. So many family moments I will never forget and always treasure. How Anna would tell me how he used Miles' funny childlike phrases interjected comically into everday life and how my little son Jules adored him so very much too. In recent years walking out into the countryside with just his Uncle, his tiny frame teetering happily alongside Renaud's tall body. I will miss my Brother in law more than I can put into words right now. I keep hearing his laugh, his wonderful chuckling funny contagious laugh and remembering the way he sat at the table after dinner, those every day normal tender special moments, that some how, were always so special to me. Renuad taught me many things, not just about wine and food and physics, but about life and love and family and how just to be. Say hi to Mama for me Do Higher. I will miss you so much and I hope you are time travelling through the infinite universe like the happiest shooting star. We will look up for you. With so much love always from Naomi and Miles and Jules x x x x x x x
