Renaud Parentani

July 31, 1962 - May 20, 2020

Renaud was a wonderful person with an exceptional mind. He was Full Professor at Université Paris Sud, Orsay in France. As a colleague, he was known for his deep knowledge of quantum mechanics and gravitation. His contributions had a profound impact on our understanding of cosmology and black holes. As a friend, we will never forget his wittiness, his sense of humor and his sparkling eyes.

FROM LAURENT VERON : I had the privilege to be at the head of the Laboratoire de Mathématiques et Physique Théorique in Tours during all the time where Renaud occupied a position of Maître de Conférences. I remember how confident and proud was the committee for having just hired such a promising young scientist. Even if I am not a physicist, I keep in my mind the exchanges we had at that time, so clear and illuminating, and what an open minded man he was. I am terribly sad and shocked by his death. All my thoughts are for his family. Laurent Véron
