Tony Duckworth

October 21, 1964 - June 21, 2021

A beloved colleague and friend, Tony was an integral member of the [PIAS] management team and a true ambassador for our company. Tony first joined [PIAS] in the ‘90s working at Vital Distribution in the UK where following several roles he became Sales and Marketing Director. After having moved to Poland in 2004 and setting up his own company, Tony worked as Head of Label Management at our distribution partner Mystic before setting up our Polish office in 2015. As the General Manager of [PIAS] Eastern Europe, Tony was a driving force behind our recent successes in Poland, where aside from championing our international artists and labels, over the last few years Tony has built a successful local artist roster which amongst others includes Brodka who was the first Polish artist introduced by Tony to [PIAS]. His kindness, expertise and passion always stood out and we will miss him tremendously. Tony leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Rose. Our thoughts are with her, his family and Kasia and Bozena in our Eastern European team

I only met Tony a few times at conference as our paths rarely crossed professionally, but what a great guy. We bonded over a shared love of running, and I enjoyed our conversations immensely. He was open, honest, direct, and full of life, and he listened too. I will miss him. All strength to everyone.
