It is incredibly difficult to write this; the loss is just too painful to bear. John was a good man, that salt of the earth, one-of-a-kind person who touched so many lives with such care, love, compassion and humor. His smile lit up the room and his laugh was contagious. He was a model father who showed up intentionally for his beautiful family. He loved his wife so fiercely and in some ways pieced her together; their home was a warm, loving and welcoming space. I appreciate his generosity, his embracing of his calling in his work and his love for people from all walks of life. He will forever be missed by the multitude of people that he healed and I pray for my sister: his wife, his beautiful children, his extended family, Lesotho and the continent at large; may you all be comforted in the knolwedge that you had the great opportunity to witness the magical being that John was.
