Rahul Deo Chhabra

September 4, 1979 - August 21, 2021

A dear husband to Swati and devoted father of two boys. Rahul was well liked by colleagues and friends within Fire and Emergency NZ. We will miss his infectious smile, sense of humour and larger than life personality.

Rahul, I'll miss your colourful insights and the millions of long conversations we had about life. You brought so much energy, pride and passion into FENZ. Unfortunately, I didn't get to pay you back for the two lunches and dozens of coffees I owed you. Maybe in the next life where we meet, I'll put it on my card for us?!? Rest in peace little brother. ... Harold

So sorry to hear of Rahul's passing and my condolences to his family and all those that held him dear in their lives. I only met Rahul on a handful of occasions but they were always positive. My fond memory of Rahul was a time we were both in Auckland for work and we had finished for the day. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day so a group of us decided to all go to a local cafe/bar and relax for a bit. We had a few good laughs with all the jokes Rahul was coming up with and just shooting the breeze - a great end to the day. Rest in Peace, you will be missed.
