Jim was just the loveliest person who had the affection and respect of everyone who met him. My husband was a medical student at QUB & in RMH Belfast in 1980’s and has always said that Jim Dornan was by far his favourite tutor. He said that it was always so lovely to see the interaction between Jim and his patients who all clearly thought the world of him. I saw Jim privately at his clinic in Holywood a number of years ago and he was the warm, kind and wonderful human being which my husband had always told me he was.
Such a loss to medicine and to the world as he truly was an exceptional man.
Deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace gentleman Jim
