I had the opportunity to know Professor Emmanuel Okechukwu Ezugwu since 2008 when I invited him as a keynote speaker to UMTIK 2008 (13th International Conference on Machine Design and Production) in Istanbul. Since then, he continued his support to most of the UMTIK conferences as an International Program Committee member and to his colleagues in Turkey in their research. Having the honour to know him, I am deeply sorry for his loss. I would like to express my sincere condolences to his family and to his friends.
