With love from Angela, Lynda, Liz and Jane. (Pips walking group friends)
I'm sorry this is a bit belated we wanted to make a tribute from all four of us and waited until we'd met on Tuesday to do it.
It was very peaceful on the Downs and we all felt close to Pippa and all of you. I hope your day went smoothly and you felt at least a little comforted by the Service.
Ever since our children were at Primary School a group of five of us have gone walking twice a
month in the countryside. Pippa invariably wore flip-flops or wellies, initially to the dismay of
some of us. If the weather was wet we went to Museums or Art galleries which we all enjoyed.
We all appreciated the bottom less handbag if we needed a tissue, sticking plaster
or a tasty snack.
Our fondest memories are of our long weekend in Paris. Mention of the Hotel lift still has us
all laughing . Then there was the afternoon tea at the Kensington roof garden - a Gluten free tea
had been booked but the restaurant brought five standard teas. They then brought a gluten free serving but didn't take away the extra tea. And they gave us each a free glass of Prosecco as an apology.
Over the years we shared the challenges of teenagers, the upheaval of our children leaving the nest, and the sadness of having close relatives with Dementia. But then came the joy of weddings and grandchildren.
Pippa was always sympathetic and understanding of the ups and downs, such a kind, bubbly person, who was totally devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed by us all.
