Pip will be remembered with fondness. She was such a warm and welcoming mother-in-law. Her presence around Churchill Cottage was brightening - often doing several things at once, humming or whistling along to the radio in the kitchen. Simple things like watching Countdown together (and her always getting the longest word), or attempting a
new board game together, will be missed. Pip had a child-like playfulness to her that was so endearing - often falling into a fit of giggles with Charlotte and Charlotte threatening to wet herself if the laughter didn't stop promptly. She was an exceptional granny, pouring so much love into her grandchildren. She was the first to make Penelope laugh and held her hand through the streets of Italy last year as she learned to walk.
I'm so pleased we could spend a holiday together in Italy this time last year and cherish those memories. Even when I smoked out our Airbnb trying to light a fire she didn't complain. Always positive. It's hard to think of Pip being any brighter than she was, but she believed in the saving power of God and put her trust in Him and so I rest confidently assured that I will see her again in even greater glory.
Until we meet again...
