Pierre Boudville

October 4, 1965 - April 12, 2022

Pierre was one of a kind! Many of us knew him from Floorball. He had played for and against many of us. And he'd also helped a number of us too when it came to making it to the World Floorball Championships. But that's only the most visible parts of him for a number of us. And Pierre was much more than that. Please share your 1-2 memories of Pierre/with Pierre. Everyone dies twice. The second time when they are forgotten. Pierre may have been a quiet soul but he shall not be forgotten! Share your words and let us keep him in our hearts!

First played with or against Pierre in a friendly at grange road in 1998 when we were invited against the national team . Soon after that he became a teammate at Skools. Known for his flying saves, his Renault convertible and his “fed-up” comment. Quiet dependable friend n last man . Oldest player in the highest league in sg . Many tried to emulate him there. But so far none have . Like Aru our defender said … “great game Pierre”. Rest In Peace our #1!

2001 was the first time I'd played in a team that had beaten Moosemen in a floorball finals (Pesta Sukan 2001). That was a momentous occasion but my Pierre memory from that was a related moment. We also made it to the beach soccer finals. It came to penalties. I looked at Shashi and Pierre (our two keepers) and asked, 'who's ready for this?'. Without any hesitation, Pierre lifted up his head and did his familiar nod. I can't recall the final score but I do recall the opponents were wondering why they weren't scoring! :D That was a good day. And I'm glad I had that experience with Pierre.

Pierre was selfless in his contributions to SG Floorball. His passion for the game and community surpass anyone I have ever encountered. I was his buddy ref for the National School Games, perpetually short on refs - he would fulfill the duties from morning till evenings without complains. He is not only an Unsung Hero of SG Floorball but an example to all who supports the game tirelessly without any gains. Pierre - RIP good friend.
