I am lucky to have been able to count Pete as a friend and to have met his family. Over the years I have shared many happy times with them all. There was a kind of magic about Pete, always a gentleman and able to interact with anyone at any level in a calm and patient way. His manner endowed the beneficiary, be it a business colleague, friend, or child of any age with the knowledge and confidence to face whatever challenges lie ahead. Pete would be seen as the supreme friend, confidant or mentor, depending on the needs of the situation at the time. An incredible gift that many people, including myself and my family have benefitted from. As I face up to his loss with sorrow, joy, sadness and happiness recalling the good times and trying to take the positives from these as Pete would want me to, it also occurs to me that his guidance is what I need most right now. I miss you Pete. Thanks for having me as a friend for all too brief a time.
