Paul Taylor

October 1, 1951 - April 19, 2020

We remember our former colleague, Paul Taylor, who sadly passed away on Sunday 19th April. Paul was a talented musician, a gifted teacher and a cherished colleague who will be missed in the Reddish Vale community and beyond. We are thinking of his wife Lynne, a former colleague at Reddish Vale in the MFL department, at this time. A book of condolences will be gathered online and we will ensure this is printed and delivered to Lynne.

The dedication Paul had for music and helping others was immense. Here he is at the other end of the platform, performing with the band for Grease. He supported the Music department in so many school shows over the years in rehearsals and performances always an integral part of the team. As any true professional he always did whatever was needed from school orchestra to concerts happy to help others. A musical legend in my book.

Paul was a regular musician for our many evenings where we showcased the talented young people of Reddish Vale. Here he is supporting Madeleine in 2015.

My very sincere condolences to Lynne and Paul's family and friends. He was the best teacher I had and became a friend of my family after taking in his cat! In later life was a friend whom I visited at times on my trips back North. Always such a fun and friendly man. Enjoyed chatting with him at one of the reunions for Reddish Vale. My love of Elton John stemmed from him. He will be greatly missed by those who's life he played a part in. RIP Paul and continue playing your music with the angels. Xx
