Patrick was more than a brother in law to me, he was a true friend. As everyone has written on this page his smile will be remembered by all and his cheeky giggle. I’ll especially miss the big bear hugs that instantly made me feel better. He was truly embraced into the Myerscough family and we will miss him so much. Our big family get togethers won’t be the same without him.
He was always positive and embraced life with all its up and downs. His love of trying new experiences and learning new skills was inspirational. Bringing many of us along with him for the ride, thanks to him I had a go at indoor climbing, roller skating and most scarily skiing but these were some of the most happy and thrilling times of my life. He knew how good it was to push yourself out of your comfort zone every once in a while.
Pat was always inclusive and you always felt welcome into his group of friends and I’ve met so many of them over the years. His love of Sally was clear for all to see and everything he did was for her, to make her happy and keep her safe. I will look after Sal for you Pat, I know how precious she was to you as she is to me.
Taken from us far too soon but the sun will never set for Pat, he will always be in our thoughts to brighten our lives.
Martin:
I met Patrick through Anne and straight away felt a bond with him. He had the rare quality of being able to put you at ease straight away.
I loved his sense of humour and he made me laugh a lot. I’ll miss our discussions on Star Trek and how useless the football team I support are amongst many other things. I enjoyed our snowboarding trips together to Bulgaria and the Chill Factore. As Anne says he always seemed to be learning something new e.g to play the piano, sign language, acting etc and was an inspiration. I don’t think Christmas Day will be the same without our quiz and card games with terrible prizes for the winner and his method for getting the most food on your plate at Applewood Farm was inspired.
I’m going to miss you a lot Pat x
