TRIBUTE TO SISTER ONOME Putting pen to paper in less than 3 months is agonising for me. Little did i know that 24/09/2020 would be the last time I would see you, that was the Service of Songs of my late husband Arc. Fidelis Ojoh. The news of your death came shocking and unbelievable. I cannot forget how you came to see me at home and stayed with me the whole day advising me and telling me how you lost your husband and how God has been seeing you through, you reassured me that the same God that comforted you will comfort and see me through. Hmm.... What a life. I can still remember vividly our growing up in Sapele at St Luke's Anglican Church and our usual visit to Green Egbedi Road where you and your siblings Priscilla and Joseph lived for a while with your grand father before your parents came back from the United Kingdom. It was a great and joyous one then. Sister Onome is down to earth, simple, nice, friendly and very pleasant. There was never a dull moment with her. How do i forget your trips to D-VEES School Surulere, anytime you were in Lagos, all the teachers there knew you. While there, you were either taking pictures of things that caught your eye, asking questions, watching the children learn and also reading books. You were always proud to tell anyone how well your late husband Folarin took good care of you. You were always in awe when you talked about your children Dipo, Dunni and Ayoola. I pray that the Almighty God comforts and takes good care of your children and your brother Joseph. I believe you are in a good place. Till we meet on resurrection morning. It is good night to my ever smiling sister Onome. Gaga Onojorevwo Ojoh (Mrs)

TRIBUTE TO MY AMAZING AUNTIE ONOMZEE. It’s hard to accept the death of a loved one, no matter how often it happens. We all and I stress on ‘WE’ because as much as I think of it, you all think of it too(wishing we had the power to make death go away from the face of the earth forever and never return without losing anybody dear to us)but sadly, death is inevitable. It leaves a huge void in our hearts that they say only time can heal. Auntie Onomzee as I would fondly call you, my special auntie Onomzee, I would fondly call her when I want to find her trouble and want her to tease me with her very funny slangs...it’s still surreal, it’s still shocking, that wave of time will heal, it will sink in soon, has become so difficult for me. I try to comfort myself because of the challenge of comforting my mum who has lost an amazing sister from another mother. Auntieee!!,dearest Auntie Onome, what a blessing and privilege it was to have you as part of my family, whenever I think of you these days, I think of light and how you inspired us. However this light appears, no matter how stifled it is, you never failed to bring joy to those around you, you never failed to affect us positively, you never failed to advice us, there was always a moral behind our conversations, a food for thought that somehow always played out eventually. Auntie dearest, you may not have been famous or invented something new, but your energy of spirit drove for what’s right. Auntie Onomzee, thank you for loving me unconditionally, thank you for being a big ball of energy around us, saying I’ll miss you is an understatement. Your slangs, positive vibes and your beautiful smile. You were an incredible Aunt, Mother, Sister, Wife and Grandma to many of us. May we find peace to pull through your demise, your legacy lives on in my heart and will forever be cherished. May God grant you his peace. Adieu AUNTIE DEAREST!!! Chidinma Mildred Maduekwe

Mummy, I'm still finding difficult to believe that you are really gone and I won't see you again. When I remember your good gestures and genuine care and concern towards me as a mother, you gave me many nicknames such as Kpanya, madam Englishian it makes it hurt the more because no one to call me those names again and show such love, you didn't make me feel left (inferior) out among your staff. I will miss a lot, until we meet again. Rest on mum
