Oludaisi Abidakun

March 19, 1941 - November 15, 2021

A caring husband, loving father, grand father, peace seeker, tireless worker, sponsor of dreams, confidante to many and above all, a person whose mantra and typical greeting was Alafia - Peace. He will forever remain in our love. The memories we cherish and shared will stand as a guiding light in our broken but thankful hearts. The sky is brighter because Heaven celebrates the gain of a worthy soldier and ambassador. Rest on Daddy as you champion our aspirations and relationships...

I thank the almighty God for the life, Our dearly beloved brother Oludasi John Abidakun lived on earth. He lived a Godly fearing life and loved the Lord. As the word of God says, that by their fruit ye shall know them. I know him as a man after God's own heart. His conversations were always about how good God is even when he was in pain. He always asked his brother to call me whenever he phoned. He would say to me "Iya wa lo je, o ki ise iyawo mo". We would both laugh. He would ask about all the people he knew in my family and joked about the name of my street. I can never forget his prayer for me and all my children as he would mention their names one by one and pray for them. He would then say "bami gbe phone fun egbon mi". They would talk and talk about the situations with them, what goes on in their lives and their father's house. He referred to what should be done for the legacy of their father to remain for all the young generations behind them. He did not hide anything from his brother. He showed practical love towards us in all his dealing with us and was kind hearted to the family back home, as him and his brother always talk about the needs of their junior ones. They would pray on every issue concerning each other and the people they knew. He was a brother in deed. We love you but Jesus loved you more. He took you to a resting place where there is no pain where you will rest in the bosom of Abraham till we see again and never to depart. Rest on, rest on, rest on till we meet again in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. On behalf of my husband and all our children I pray for all the family especially our sister the wife, and all the children that, the Lord of peace Himself will give you peace always, help you in all areas and direct the steps of all the children to their destiny in Jesus mighty name. I pray that none of you will depart from the way of the Lord, the righteous and Holy life daddy laid down for you. in Jesus name. This is an exhortation to our dear Sister. The load may be heavy but remember you are not alone. Jesus Christ is with you He will help you as you rest your mind on Him. 2Thessalonians 2:16-17 says :- "Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work in Jesus name" Amen. May the Lord keep your spirit, soul and body safe and sound in His pavilion in Jesus name. God bless you all in Jesus name. Mrs D Abidakun- Olaribigbe's wife.
