Olotu was, simply, a remarkable gentleman - a gentleman in every sense of the word. In every physical interaction that I had with him, when we worked together, he was always beaming with an infectious smile and projecting am aura of goodness.
When we no longer worked together he, seemingly, adopted me. I would hear from him at the beginning of every month and during the holidays, with his vivacious personality jumping out of the WhatsApp messages. Now and again, he would stop by my office. I often wondered what I did to deserve the blessings of this beautiful and generous man. But I am thankful for having known him.
There are no words that I can express that will mitigate the sense of loss for his loved ones. I can only pray that the good Lord will provide them the resources to cope with this terrible loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
