Nick Webb

February 16, 1966 - June 7, 2021

In memory of Nick Webb, loving father to Maddy and Alex, and valued and respected colleague to many at the Environment Agency and Defra. Nick was a dedicated lawyer and public servant who will be fondly remembered as an excellent lawyer and as a kind, thoughtful, calm and patient person. Nick was able to make a huge difference to the people he worked with and to the environment. This book of condolence is opened by colleagues with the support of Nick's family, to share memories and sympathies. Nick's loss has been felt deeply by colleagues and he will be dearly missed. We offer our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Nick's family and friends.

I worked with Nick when he was seconded to Defra to work on biodiversity law just before I myself moved to that team. I remember all sorts of conversations with him about Habitats law. I also remember exchanging views with him when he was back with the EA on things like fresh water pearl mussels and other things. Don't know what more to say I am really shocked by this news.
