He also forwarded an email to his other coworkers mentioning me as a potential candidate for their research groups. His kind gesture has given me more confidence that I'm a strong candidate as well. When I learned of this news yesterday, I was unable to hold back my tears. He is a wonderful person. I wish I could have had the chance to meet him. My sincere condolences go out to his family.
