Neil was the stalwart of payroll at Chiene + Tait. He was such a dedicated Manager, Friend and Boss, he always made time for everyone. The Payroll Family at Chiene + Tait have lost the best boss ever and a very good friend. I was devastated to hear the news of Neil’s passing and I know everyone who knew him will be feeling the same way. The Payroll Team had great nights out, this photo being the last one taken of the whole team together. Things haven’t been the same without Neil at the helm, but in difficult situations we’ve caught ourselves saying ‘what would Neil do here’? Having his guidance over the years has been priceless, he’s been a fantastic mentor to us all. Neil will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him, especially his Payroll Family, it just won’t be the same without him. Rest easy Neil at least you won’t have to put up with me winding you up every time your team got beat in a Derby game.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Neil's passing. He was truly a lovely person and was so helpful and supportive when I was working in the HR team at C+T, nothing was ever too much trouble. I always thought of Neil even as I moved jobs, he set the bar high for payroll managers! A great colleague and even better on a night out. Condolences to his friends, family and everyone at C&T, Neil will be missed xx

As an honorary member of the payroll team I have loads of good memories with Neil. A lot of which include us winding Evelyn and Paula up about the football. Neil was down to earth and always up for a laugh and a chat about absolutely anything, working with him was a pleasure. This particular night it was only about 5.30pm and half jokingly I suggested jaeger bombs, never to refuse a shot Neil came up to the bar and with a quick “mon the hibs” down they went. Rest in peace Chopper, you will be greatly missed xxx
