Mrs Liz Flannery

May 5, 1979 - June 24, 2021

Mrs Flannery was a well known and well loved member of the teaching team at Westgate Academy. She has been part of our Westgate family since 2005 and was a driving force behind the PTA, organising summer fayres and school discos. Mrs Flannery had lived with chronic illness throughout her life and was an exceptionally brave woman who is an inspiration to us all. She leaves behind her husband and son. Her death has left a big hole in all our lives and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Liz you were such a lovely caring person, I've known you about 19 years and often went out drinking together as Paul and my James were good friends too.you being a member of Westgate teaching staff was amazing and knew you'd always speak to my girls whilst at the school.you called me over once and said you had to put holly on a red because she laughed out loud when Mr stock was playing the trumpet but we tried together not to laugh.Ruby said she only saw you few weeks back and you stopped and said hello to her. RiP lovely lady and say hello to James for me and his girls if you see him up there. Sending love to Paul and Ryhs xxxx
