The news of mama Omoniyi's passing( as we fondly called her) came as a rude shock. She still called me a few weeks before she passed. We had no idea she had been sick. She was her usual cheerful person on the phone and when I asked her when she was coming back to us in ACM (our Church), she said "a ss die" (not in a while). She was such a forth- right down to earth person. She was a very loving and hospitable person. She personally chose me as her granddaughter's god mother. We shall miss her "ewa alagbado". During the meetings of women she was never shy to contribute positively to discussion. She was a good Christian and a fashionable grandma. She was such a lovely lady. I still remember the various candid and important discussions we had while she was in Ibadan and a few weeks before she died. We shall miss her smiles, her contributions at meetings and her generosity. We thank God for her life of service to God and humanity. May the Lord keep and preserve all she left behind. Eku itoju mama Omoniyi. Omo a toju eyin na. May mama's soul rest in peace.
