I have such fond memories of Mike. When we were growing up we referred to each other as 'my favourite cousin' We did sadly lose touch over a lot of years but miraculously when we saw each other again at a family reunion it was just the same. The same feeling the same gentle boy was now a gentle man in all aspects of the word. When I went with Sue and Teresa to visit the family we fondly now refer to as 'the yorkshires' we spent time all together with Mike declaring he must take his girls to tea so we duly ended up in York having afternoon tea as if we had seen each other only the day before. Mike and Sue came to all the family picnics after that and I spent time at their home just chatting. He was always so conscious of making sure everyone was ok - so thoughtful - just a lovely man. I am grateful he managed to retire and move back up to Yorkshire as he had planned for so long. Its just too cruel that his retirement was too short. His family have been robbed of a special and loving man a true gentleman - the world is a little less lovely now. I shall miss my favourite cousin - I love you Mike x
