As our relationship became closer, I also had the pleasure to see his human side. He was firm yet kind, genuine in his concern about the wellbeing of those around him (me included), and absolutely true to his word. Most importantly, I witnessed his love for his children, as they would pop up every now and then on the screen during our remote meetings and his eyes would beam with pride and love.
He will be deeply missed.
