Mrs Melanie Ravenscroft dedicated her life to helping others. She was Head Teacher at St Aidans CE Primary School in Billinge until Christmas 2020 when she took early retirement. Melanie had previously worked at Eccleston Mere Primary School and Evelyn Primary School. She also spent time at Newton Primary School and at Sherdley Primary School . Melanie also worked as an English consultant for St Helens LA. She touched the lives of so many little people and their families .

Even before I met Melanie in person, the emails she sent me were so welcoming and full of warmth. In person, she continued welcoming me and was just such a lovely person to work with. Her kindness, care, love and encouragement for the children and their families, staff, church and the St Aidan's Community was wonderful to see.
