I was devastated to hear this terrible news. I last saw Matthew in November 2019, and he was looking so well: alert, chatty and positive as always. Matthew was one of the most professional and inspirational people I have ever worked with, underscored by a combination of unimpeachable integrity and a great sense of humour. Amongst his many stand-out performances was his visionary management of the National Housing Forum (NHF) immediately prior to the 1994 elections. A huge loss to the development community, and to his country. My deepest condolences to Barbara and family. Matthew, you were always postive and solution-oriented, you made the world a better place, and I feel blessed and thankful for the many hours spent together.
