Words don't come easily... something I didn't have to worry about often when we chatted. I will miss our Monday morning preambles as well as our Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday ones! I learned a great deal from Martin (particularly about how wonderful New Zealand is) and will remember his wise words and guidance fondly. Martin was someone who would always put others ahead of himself and was not afraid to stick up for those who he felt deserved it. He loved his family dearly and was never far from a story or three about them. He always spoke to fondly of his family which would bring a sparkle to his eye and smile to his face every time - even when recounting the times a certain grandchild had broken the kindles he had bought for them. A thoroughly decent chap with a massive heart taken too soon. I wish we had more time. An inimitable character who will be greatly missed. I will remember Martin for as long as I am able.
