There was never a dull moment, he always had a story about his kids, Laura and Liam, who he so obviously adored, his time as a footballer with Crystal Palace, any sport that was in the news at any particular time. He never suffered fools gladly and was at times a little too honest in saying what we knew was right, telling a County Surveyor that we admin staff were thought of as “the scum of the earth” was a particular highlight, Well Martin I can tell you hand on heart that hasn’t changed where I am now !
