How do you say goodbye to one of the most loving and caring neighbour we’ve ever had. It all started with a wave from across the street as Maroun was getting ready to start another day of work. He would actually say “hey neighbour”. He always inquired how the family was doing. We started to engage in small talk back and forth. Over the years this relationship transitioned from hey Neighbour to “hey buddy”. A friendship developed between our families for the 13 years we had lived across from each other. Maroun, Jeanette and his family accepted us as true friends. Celebrating the good times and supporting though the bad times. We never thought in a million years we would be mourning the passing of a great man at this time. We always talked about having dinner together and we were so glad we were able to do this in late January not realizing that it would be the last time we would share a meal together. This is a huge loss for us and we are still trying to come to terms with it. We extend our sincere condolences to Jeanette, Omar, Yara, Youmna and Jamena. He was a honourable man and has left his mark
