My first memory of Mark is seeing him at Derby Hospital. I was 5 and children probably weren't allowed in to visit so Mum showed off my newborn brother to us through the window! I remember him as a happy, talented, chatty, adventurous child, quite often up to mischief, but always coming out of his scrapes with a smile. He was a confident, good looking teenager, loved being around people and got involved in music, sports and I remember seeing him in several theatre productions at Watford Youth Theatre. He grew into a kind generous adult and I was so happy when he got together with Sam. He's still always ready with a funny story, a big smile and a bigger hug. He will leave a big hole in the lives of friends and family. I can't believe that I won't be seeing you soon. I'll miss you so much Mark, you'll always be in my thoughts and my heart. Love you lots xxxx Judy
A typical night out with Mark - taken in an Indian after a few Cobra's! Even though they had run out of chicken, it didn't dampen our spirits. A truly great guy that I was fortunate to share many beers and laughs with. Our thoughts are with Sam and family
If anyone would like to make a donation in remembrance of Mark, we have created this tribute fund for the British Heart Foundation: https://giftofhope.bhf.org.uk/In-Memory/Mark-Rothwell ❤
Mark was a selfless club member, a good friend, and a great person to play with. His company was enjoyed by all at Bushey Cricket Club. The club is much the poorer with Marks passing.
My gorgeous, generous, loving husband - words cannot express how much of a hole you have left in my heart & Dobbie's. Thank you for coming into my life & I will treasure the memories we made. Sleep tight my angel till we meet again. xxx

Mark was so kind and encouraging on the side of the hockey pitch. He guided and encouraged us both through our first years playing adult hockey. He was always joking and smiling even if we thought we weren't playing well and pushed us both to move upwards within the club. We can't imagine a better man to have had on the side lines. He was truly one of the team and will be missed greatly
