The School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management at the North West University is truly saddened by the loss of Marius Meyer. Marius availed himself every time he was invited at the North West University. Whether it was to address students or be a keynote speaker for a conference, he made sure to honour the commitment in his busy schedule. In 2016 he was involved and facilitated the very first launch of the SABPP student chapter on the Potchefstroom campus. In 2017 he was asked to be one of the key note speakers for the Human Capital Summit. Furthermore, in those two years (2016&2017) he also addressed our honours student’s on various topics including (HR Standards, organisational change and workplace readiness). His recent project was a chapter contribution in a textbook working with colleagues at the Potchefstroom campus which was completed in December and the textbook has just been published.
His contribution and value that he added to both our students and staff at the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management is unmatched. Marius’s humbleness, dedication, compassion and humility coupled with a spirit of excellence and sterling work ethic goes unsurpassed. May your legacy continue forever in the lives of our students and academics. We are forever grateful for the knowledge, experience and commitment towards North West University and the field of Human Resource Management.
