Margaret Davison

February 12, 2021 - February 12, 2021

A member of NTHC club for well over 20 years, Margaret gave a huge amount of her time and energy to the club from the very first season that she joined, until she retired at the end of last season - as a team captain, as a club representative, as club secretary for ten years and then in the position of Vice Chairperson. The Hockey Club has lost a valuable member and I have lost a good friend. Margaret always made us smile whether with her latest teddy bear creation or with the hilarious tale of a past exploit such as the precarious journey cycling home from the hockey festival along the canal towpath! Margaret was good company and a generous host (the Davison's Open Houses a special treat). I shall treasure the memories of the happy times we spent together. Rest in peace, Margaret.

Margaret was the embodiment of all that is good in a hockey club! She was a truly wonderful strong lady who not only kept things going within the club, but also enjoyed the hockey and the social side. Her between her amazing attitude towards hockey and her teddy bear backpack she always brought a smile to those around. When I started hockey (many years ago now) we were on the same team, and I was (believe it or not) extremely lacking in confidence. Margaret always had a positive comment for the team at half time and was always determined for the team to do their best. She inspired me in not only the way she spoke, but the way she acted in and out of the game. She was one amazing lady and will be missed so much. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time. x Margaret may you rest in peace, with love. Phi x
