When I joined the QPS service in July 2020 I received an email from Marcus, introducing himself and welcoming me to the team. Marcus told me not only about his role but also his family and hobbies, and, acknowledging the challenges of starting a new role virtually, said that his inbox was always open. As we returned to working in offices it was clear how much Marcus valued being able to come together as a team. He showed interest in everyone both professionally and personally, and always wanted to hear our ideas as well as how we were and what we had been up to. Marcus was such a kind person with a fantastic sense of humour, and he will be sorely missed by us all.
